An Embarrassment of Riches.

Moore County is blessed with many walking trails throughout! The County's and individual town's Parks and Recreations Systems offer a multitude of opportunities to hike here in Moore County.

Pinehurst Greenway System

Reservoir Park Greenway

Longleaf Greenway

 Approximately six miles of trails, running through Linden Road, through the Village of Pinehurst, Rassie Wicker Park and Cannon Park, and part of Village Acres. 

 A 2 mile trail weaves around a scenic 95-acre lake with a Beaver Dam Boardwalk and two scenic overlooks. It is located of Hwy 22. 

 A 1 mile trail connects the Pine Grove Village, Talamore and Longleaf communities (off Airport Rd) to the Reservoir Park and Forest Creek Greenway Systems.

Nick's Creek

 This 4+ mile trail connects the Longleaf Greenway and Forest Creek Development to the O'Neal School, as well as to Hwy 22 at Nicks Creek. 

 This 1 mile section connects Reservoir Park to Warrior Woods Community along Hwy 22. There are future plans to add an additional 3 miles of trail through Warrior Woods, as well as the Carolina Golf Community 

 More than 3.5 miles connecting Reservoir Park to NC 22, as well as the Forest Creek Greenway

Located on US 1

 NC 211 and Rattlesnake Trail, Pinehurst 

 Fort Bragg Rd, Southern Pines. 

Forest Creek Greenway

 This 4+ mile trail connects the Longleaf Greenway and Forest Creek Development to the O'Neal School, as well as to Hwy 22 at Nicks Creek.
